Chef Paul and Laura are the proud owners of Chef’s Cafe, which was started by Jay and Mary Bettman in 1993.
Today, Chef Paul and Laura work alongside the infamous Teddy, Cleo, and other team members. Our goal is to provide simple, wholesome, and fresh food in an environment where our customers can feel at home.

CHEF and OWNER
Chef Paul is the man behind the Famous Chicken Salad! He has been in the kitchen his entire life and a trained Chef for over 20 years. Paul moved a lot as a kid and kept traveling while he was in culinary school, studying food in Europe and Italy. Paul has helped in opening dozens of restaurants and cooking everything from steak & seafood to fine dining. Despite all of his travel and training, Birmingham, AL and his "Nana" are the root and heart of all Paul’s cooking.
Favorite Things: food, video games, traveling, watching soccer, and board games
Favorite Sandwich: Cuban Sandwich and Club Sub

Laura Miranda
OWNER
AKA “The Boss” at Chef’s Cafe and the friendly face at the register on most days. Laura is a Cincinnati native, Univeristy of Cincinnati graduate, and hospitality expert, turned business owner. Laura and Paul have been married for 13 years and have two daughters in grade school.
Favorite Things: water-skiing, lake life, coffee, and naps
Favorite Sandwich: Turkey on Rye through the garden
